Memorable Moments Of Selena Quintanilla, The Queen Of Tejano
Selena Quintanilla was a woman striving in the male-dominated world with her grace, talent, and innovation portrayed in her personality and music. In the words of Odalys Menegia, her publicist, Selena Quintanilla was good as a human being and had love and humility for others. Wherever she went, she cast her magic with her humbleness and purity.
Menegia recalled an incident with Selena Quintanilla when she went for an interview for ‘Padrisimo’ and was instructed to reach there by six in the early morning. Once she reached there, she distributed a whole basket of fruits kept just for her to the crew members as they did not eat any breakfast. The members of the set were impressed by her humanity as no one before did such a kind of thing.
Menegia started working with Selena Quintanilla from 1993 until her untimely death. She is currently working as an editor at Telemundo and joined Selena after knowing Jose Behar. Her hole as a publicist was to coordinate all her activities in Orlando, Atlanta, and Miami along with all the press conferences, magazine, and radio interviews.
She also stated another incident where she and Selena went to have lunch at a restaurant in Georgia, where she paid the bill of a woman who was unable to pay and did not let the waiter know it was her. Menegia concluded by saying that she should be compared with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.
