Shakira Draws Controversy For Admitting She Jumped Halloween Line

Shakira has angered both her fans and detractors after she admitted to skipping an a-hour-and-a-half-long queue she attended with her children. Multiple news sources in Spain said that the “Whenever, wherever girl skipped to the head of the queue at a Barcelona ride named the Tower of Terror, even as other families patiently waited in line for over an hour during Halloween.

The 45-year-old ‘Hips Don’t Lie singer and her two children, 9-year-old Milan and 7-year-old Sasha, with Spanish international footballer Gerard Pique apparently appeared suddenly near the front of the line. A security guard reportedly let them in. Silvia Tales, a journalist present at the scene said Shakira appeared nonchalant even as people cried out in protest.

Taules complained that Shakira set a very wrong example before her children. From a very early age she was teaching them that it was okay to cut in front of others for no reason, she said.

Taules also posted pictures over social media that showed the celebrity singer who performed during the halftime at the Super Bowl, and her kids at the Halloween venue.

Shakira has not responded to the request for comment on the issue. It has been a difficult year on the personal front for the Columbian singer. She is thick in the middle of a prickly separation from Barcelona and Spanish International footballer, 35-year-old Gerard Pique, and also for custody of their two kids.

The former power couple announced in June about their separation. They requested that the press and public allow them their moment of privacy for the sake of their two children, who they said was the maximum priority. They thanked all their well-wishers in advance for their respect and understanding.

Shakira has in the past been criticized for what has been termed a ‘crappy’ attitude. Pique has since moved in with Clara Marti, a 23-year-old student of public relations. Shakira is also facing tax fraud charges in Spain.
