Just yesterday, Apple TV+ held an engaging promotional event at Grand Central Terminal to herald the return of Severance. In a similar vein, Silo also enjoyed its own distinctive marketing event to commemorate the imminent season 2 finale.

Season 2 of Silo is set to wrap up this Friday, coinciding with the premiere of Severance season 2.

The upcoming Silo finale served as an excellent opportunity for Apple’s marketing crew to unleash their creativity.

A character from Silo, dressed in a suit, made an appearance at an NBA game, where they were spotted in a packed stadium watching the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks’ X account shared footage of the Silo character’s appearance, which was also reposted by the official Apple TV account.

While it may not have had the same grand scale as the Severance event at Grand Central, sending a suited Silo character to an unexpected location like an NBA game is a testament to Apple’s marketing team thinking creatively and having fun.

Even with hefty financial backing and over five years in the market, Apple TV+ struggles to achieve significant cultural relevance. While Ted Lasso emerged as a major success, most TV+ series—regardless of their quality—often fail to leave a lasting mark on pop culture.
