The team messaging service, Slack, has millions of users all around the globe. On this Monday, its officials claimed that there was a huge outage that the app had faced. Owing to that, it had a negative impact on its customers. The news concerning all this came out as people made their return to their respective works in the new year, following the holidays.
Slack Representatives On The Great Outage
It was also announced by Slack that trouble in connection was not the only problem of the outage. Some users even reported issues like channel loading and program connection malfunction. However, the group messaging app seemed to be recovering on Monday.
When the outage was taking place, the officials of Slack gave a statement. It was said that there had been an investigation on the matter of outage. And they would let their customers know if anything came up. They also apologized for the inconvenience that was caused all over the world.
Later, after about an hour, the company made the announcement that the incident had been upgraded on their side. The company shared a post on their status page to reflect on the matter. It read that they were doing everything that was on their hands to investigate the matter.
Downdetector, the monitor of the tool and machines that are web-connected, and also the monitor of website performances gave a report on the Slack outage. It said that the total number of reports made globally by the users, following the outage, was 11,000. The main cities that were highlighted were Chicago, New York City, and Boston.
