It has been announced that the Social Security Administration will be sending out the final checks for October this week, so one doesn’t need to wait for too long. The administration will be disbursing the checks in a few rounds throughout the month, so the arrival of the money will be quite dependent on one’s birth date- among other things.
Also, if one seems to be waiting on an October Supplemental Security Income payment, that should have already arrived on the 29th of September. On the 3rd of October, the payments will be made for those who have been receiving the payments since before May 1997. On the 11th of October, the payments will be made for those whose birthdays fall between the first and the 10th of any month.
Social Security Administration Is Going To Disburse The Payments
On the 18th of October, the Social Security payments will be made for those whose birthdays fall between the 11th and 20th of any month. On the 25th of October, one would find payments for those whose birthdays fall between the 21st and the 31st of any month. For those wondering, the Administration usually sends out payments on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of every month.
Also, if one has received social security benefits before May 1997, or if they have received both SSI and Social Security, the payment schedule would be different. So, instead of getting the payments on any given Wednesday, one would be receiving their Social Security payments on the third day of every month, and the SSI on the first day of the month. However, it is believed that the dates of the payments would change if the first or the third day of the month ends on a weekend or a holiday. For instance, the 1st of July fell on a Saturday this year, so the recipients of the SSI ended up receiving their July payments a day early.
