It has been understood that millions of Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries will be receiving the first of two December Social Security payments from the administration, which would have a worth of $914 for the individual filers, in just about nine days. The first installment has already been set to disburse on the 1st December.
The second payment, which would replace the payment from January, will be distributed just four weeks later- on the 29th of December. Recipients usually receive a single payment each month, but the month of December will receive two because of a problem in the administration and its schedule that was caused by a federal holiday on the 1st of January, and the last two days of December falling on a weekend.

The maximum social security payment amount will vary depending on how the recipients will be filing for the benefits. For most individuals, the maximum rate for payments is about $914 per month. The maximum rate for the eligible couples for monthly payments will be $1371. Essential persons, who do live with someone receiving SSI, as well as provide them with necessary care, will also be receiving a monthly payment of about $458.
