SongCapsule Quiz Introduces New Rules and Expanded Artist Playlists

As highlighted in our previous review on DMN, SongCapsule Quiz is a game inspired by the Music Quiz from the iPod, where players must identify the song, album, or artist being played. The latest update introduces new rules designed to enhance gameplay, along with additional artist playlists and various other enhancements.

What’s New in SongCapsule Quiz

One of the most significant updates in version 1.2 is that players must now finish all levels in a playlist before they can revisit earlier ones. The developers believe this will motivate players to continue progressing and earning more points instead of repeating simpler levels. After unlocking all levels, you can replay any of your choice.

Furthermore, points accrued are specific to each level and won’t be transferred to the next. To create a level playing field, only the more challenging levels will contribute to points in Game Center. “This means you can compete on the leaderboards knowing that everyone is playing under the same high difficulty.”

Additionally, four new artist playlists have been added: Britney Spears, Lana Del Rey, Sabrina Carpenter, and The Weeknd. By default, SongCapsule Quiz now displays all playlists curated by Sorcererhat Playlists, even if they aren’t in your music library, although you have the option to hide any unwanted playlists in the settings.

Another noteworthy update involves the app’s accessibility. Previously, an Apple Music subscription was necessary, but now the game can be used by anyone. If you choose to subscribe to Apple Music, you can do so directly within the SongCapsule Quiz app.

You can download SongCapsule Quiz from the App Store. While the game is free, it offers a premium tier that unlocks additional features, including the ability to challenge friends on Apple’s Game Center.
