Sony released its Xperia 5 last year in September. So naturally, it’s time to release its compact version now. In its exclusive event, Sony announced several releases, which include Xperia 5 II, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Qualcomm SnapDragon, among others.

Sony Xperia 5 II follows Sony’s tradition of releasing compact versions of earlier releases. In opposition to all the bulky smartphones nowadays, a compact version is a breath of fresh air. However, it is important to note that Xperia 5 II is a little bigger than the compact versions released before. Both the front and the back of this device has Gorilla Glass 6. Stereo speakers face front and the headphone jack is 3.5 mm. This means that It’s much better suited to consume media than other devices. The only condition is that you must like compact devices. Among other details, an awesome 120Hz OLED display and a 240Hz tough response rate are available in Sony’s latest release. 

The dimension of the Xperia 5 II is 68.07 x 7.87 mm. The weight of the device has not been revealed. The SOC is Qualcomm SnapDragon 865. 

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Details

It has an Adreno 650 GPU. Other features include a 2.84 GHz Kyro 585 Prime fire, 2.4 GHz Kyro 585 Performance core, and 1.8 GHz Kyro 585 efficiency cores. 

Xperia 5 II offers a 4000 mAh battery. The rear camera details include 12 MP primary lens, 12 MP ultra-wide secondary lens, and 12 MP tertiary/telephoto lens. Video quality comes at 4K HDR. This means you will be able to shoot this high-quality video at 120 FPS. You can mask okay your videos at 24 FPS, five times slower than what you shot it at. It is also water-resistant and belongs to the Android 10 category. Details in charging power, fingerprint sensor, and front camera have not been released yet.

Sony failed to mention several important details regarding its latest release. However, what we know is that the device will have a triple camera set, similar to Xperia 1 II. Moreover, Xperia 5 II users will also have the photography pro feature that will allow them to control several other features. Some of the manual controller features include shutter speed, ISO, noise reduction, EV indicator, and you will be able to click RAW images. Even though Sony has not revealed the front camera details, we are assuming that it’s going to be the same as Xperia 1 II, which was an 8 MP shooter. 

Xperia 5 II preorders begin from the 29th of September at $950. Preorder benefits include 21,600 Call of Duty Mobile points and a Sony headset.
