To mitigate the effects of inflation, several governments are planning to distribute “Stimulus Checks” to their citizens. These payments are designed to assist low-income Americans who are struggling to meet growing living expenses.

Stimulus checks will be given to citizens in the following states and will start this month.

California

Millions of middle-class Californians should get checks of up to $1,050 each by direct deposit or mailed debit card. The state projected that 95 percent of payments will be made by the end of 2022. Some payments, however, were scheduled to be made on or around January 15, 2023; this means that some California residents will be receiving a bit more money than expected this month.

Colorado

Up to $750 will be available to individuals and $1,500 will be available to couples filing their taxes in Colorado as part of the state’s 2022 stimulus package. People who filed their 2021 taxes on time presumably already received their stimulus checks. Some Coloradans, however, have yet to get their stimulus check because they requested a six-month extension to file their taxes.

Idaho

In March of 2022, Idaho mailed out the first installment. In September 2022, the state will disperse the second portion of the stimulus money it has received. Those who satisfy the conditions may get $300 for single filers and $600 for joint filers from the state, depending on when their 2021 tax returns were submitted by the state’s tax office.

Payments made via direct deposit will be prioritized above paper checks by Idaho’s tax office. New Jersey homeowners are receiving their stimulus package property tax refunds in the mail.

If your annual income is less than $150,000, you’re eligible for a $1,500 Stimulus Check; if it’s between $150,000 and $250,000, you’re eligible for a $1,000 refund. If your annual household income is less than $150,000, you may be able to get a $450 refund even if you currently pay rent.
