Several state governments have decided to step in and offer stimulus money to the populace in response to the continuous need that many Americans are feeling.
The state’s $97 billion budget surplus will be used to pay for the relief payments, which are expected to come in the fall. Despite Newsom’s claim that the relief checks will “help you fill your gas tank,” the impact of the relief checks on the state’s high inflation is also unknown.
Couples with yearly incomes under $150,000 will receive $350 in benefits, while individuals with annual incomes under $75,000 will receive an additional $350 if they have at least one dependant.

A married couple with one child and an annual income of less than $150,000 would so receive $1,050. Couples and people with yearly incomes under $125,000 would each receive $250, plus an additional $250 for dependents. In June, New Mexico will award $500 and $1,000 in Stimulus Checks to single and married filers, respectively. Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, has authorized legislation that will temporarily halt the $0.16 gas tax until the end of the year and provide up to $970 in property tax Stimulus Check relief. Anyone who earns less than $250,000 a year is eligible for this property tax relief.
