In response to the continuous need that many Americans are experiencing, several state governments have chosen to step up and distribute Stimulus Checks to the people. Although not all of the plans have been made public, here are the 10 states that have stimulus checks or tax breaks on the table for 2022.
Stimulus Checks Still Available In Certain States
Colorado: A tax credit of $400 for adults and $800 for joint filers is available to 3.1 million “full-time” residents of the state. Georgia gives refunds ranging from $250 to $500 in the state of Georgia. Single filers are eligible for up to $250, families are eligible for up to $375, and married couples are eligible for up to $500.
Governor David Ige of Hawaii has suggested a $100 payout to each and every person in the state. Hawaiians earning less than $100,000 will be eligible for a $300 stipend.
Idaho Governor Brad Little has approved a 12% rebate for Idaho residents. Residents who choose the direct transfer option received their refunds first, beginning in March. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has authorized a payout of $100 for individuals and a $50 return for dependents. Residents in Indiana will get $125, with married couples receiving twice as much.
Governor Janet Mills of Maine signed a bill into law that provides an $850 one-time Stimulus Check to households earning less than $100,000. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has approved a $500 one-time payment to families.
Individuals earning less than $75,000 and couples earning less than $150,000 in New Mexico will get a $250 or $500 Stimulus Check if they complete their tax returns in 2021. In June, New Mexico will reward $500 and $1000 to single and married filers, respectively. New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation that reduces property taxes by up to $970 and suspends a $0.16 tax on the gas until the end of the year. This property tax relief is available to anybody earning less than $250,000 per year.
