Stimulus Check is the need of the hour for every American. IRS has already rolled out the third set of payments. The payments were directly deposited into the bank accounts. They also declared that huge backlogs have been finally cleared. This meant that more and more people can reap the rich benefits of government aids. However, with people petitioning for the fourth set of funding, false news is doing the rounds. There have been several reports of false posts claiming the confirmation of check number 4.

Stimulus Check Fraudsters Preying On The Vulnerability Of The Mass

America is pleading with the government for cashing out further funding. They have stated that many people are underemployed. Citizens are finding it very hard to make a living. The first three sets of payments contributed widely towards the boosting of the economy. Politicians and people feel that there is a need for one more such funding.

Amidst all the chaos surrounding the Stimulus Check, false news seemed to reach its peak. Posts on various social media confirming the 4th Check are doing the rounds. In a recent instance, a Facebook post went viral. It confirmed the news of a 4th payment. The post also contained a link with it. The link would be redirected to a gorilla showing off his middle finger.

This post is, however, just the tip of the iceberg. With thorough research, a huge number of false news can be identified. All of them claimed either the sanctioning of the 4th Stimulus Check or other monetary news.

The US government did not confirm any news of the 4th Stimulus Check. No such checks will probably be announced ever. However, the government needs to track down the false news. This news can have serious effects. They can impact vulnerable people who have faced the worst of the pandemic.
