Stimulus Check

Maine residents who filed as single and earned a total income of $80,000 or less are eligible for a $1,700 stimulus check.

If you are married and file your taxes jointly, then your maximum stimulus check is $3,400. This amount is issued by the IRS and applied to any taxes owed by the couple. If you’re single or have a spouse who doesn’t work, then you can receive a maximum of $1,200. If you have children under 17, they may each be eligible for $600 per dependent child.

The Economic Recovery Payment (ERP) will be issued within 90 days of filing your tax return. You must qualify for this payment in order to receive it.

You can also check your account status on the IRS website. If you haven’t received a payment yet, you can also call 1-800-829-1040 or look up your payment status online by using the “Where’s My Refund?” tool.

If you are not eligible for a cashier’s check, be sure to check with your bank before going out and buying one. Banks may require additional identification beyond an SSN and bank routing number, so it’s best to wait if possible until this information is in hand.

If you qualify for this rebate, check your account and make sure that everything is in order. You can do so by going to irs.gov/refund .

If you’re not getting a stimulus check payment and you don’t have any dependents, you will not receive a rebate check. There are some exceptions to this rule: single taxpayers with children can get a stimulus payment if they meet certain criteria, and married couples without children can still get their rebates.

The IRS is working hard to make sure that everyone who is eligible for a tax refund gets one. However, if you’re not getting a payment and don’t have any dependents, you will not receive a rebate check. If this applies to you, there is nothing more that the federal government can do.
