As a result, many US states have taken the initiative to provide relief payments to eligible residents to help them cope with the economic crunch.
More Stimulus Checks Arriving In 2023
Although senators fighting for more stimulus checks have failed to get approval, many people in need might still receive relief money in 2023. The state of Colorado announced on providing $750 to individual tax filers and $1,500 to joint filers. Many checks have already been delivered while the rest will be sent by 31st January 2023.
The people of Idaho also have good news this new year. The government of Idaho has taken the decision of giving a 10% tax return on the 2020 filing amount. As a result, joint filers are likely to receive $600 on the other hand, single filers can expect to get $300.
Additional Relief Payments This New Year
The renters in the state of New Jersey have something to look forward to this new year. The eligible renters of the state are likely to get $450 in the form of a rent rebate. The New Jersey government also promised on delivering a stimulus check worth $1,500 to homeowners. The payments will be delivered within May 2023.
South Carolina people may receive $800 if they file their taxes by 15th February 2023. Tax rebates will be sent out by the end of this year itself. Californians are thrilled to hear about the incoming stimulus check under Golden State program. 5% of Californians are eligible to receive $1,500 within December 2022 indicating that the payments have already been sent out. Although the exact amount will depend on the dependents and income of the residents.
