The Stimulus Check deadline to get the child tax credits  payments was Nov. 17. Individuals and families that missed  the deadline, however, can claim the stimulus check amount while paying their 2023 taxes

Stimulus Checks A Boon During Inflatory Times

“This is not the final deadline,” Caines remarked. “People will be able to claim tax credits that they are entitled to until Tax Day 2025.”

Of course, in order to take benefit of this one-year enhanced child tax credit, families must meet qualifying standards and pay their 2022 taxes. In October, the IRS notified more than 9 million families who had yet to file federal tax returns that they might still be eligible for credits such as the CTC, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and the Recovery Rebate Credit (RRC), which allows you to claim any stimulus checks you didn’t receive but were entitled to.

To claim the Child Tax Credit, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires you to include the details of your children and other dependents on your Form 1040

If you were impacted by a recent natural catastrophe such as Hurricane Ian, you have until February 15, 2023, to file.

If you have paid your taxes this year but have yet to receive your stimulus check or Child Tax Credit( CTC) payment there could be some other reasons. The following could be the reasons:

No bank account.

 First-time tax payment

 A joint family

The correct address is not updated with the IRS or the USPS.

 Homeless.

No wifi connection

All three stimulus checks were part of the American Rescue Plan, which was implemented in 2021.

The Act increased the child tax credit for the year to $3,600 for every child under the age of six and $3,000 per child from six to seventeen, up from $2,000 per child.
