A guaranteed stimulus check income program in the state of Minneapolis will be sending its next $500 payment to quite a few recipients in just over a week. The payment, which will be sent to them in eight days, from the 20th of June, is going to be a part of the Minneapolis Guaranteed Basic Income Pilot program that began the previous June.
It is expected that this program will be paying the recipients monthly cash payments through June 2024. For this program, two hundred households have already been selected to receive the payments from the program, which they would be allowed to spend in whichever way suits them best, according to the website from the city.

The project manager for this program informed the Washington Examiner that the stimulus check payments will be processed on the 20th of every month, and every participant will be receiving a sum of $500 every month.
In order for one to qualify for this program, the applicants will have to be older than 18 by the 1st January, 2022. They would also have to be a resident in one of the specified ZIP codes in the state, and also have an annual income that is around or below 50% of the median income of the city. Finally, the citizens who will be applying for this would have to be affected by the pandemic- by losing jobs, losing access to child care, or having higher health expenses.
Currently, the stimulus check program is being evaluated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, according to the project manager for the payment scheme.
