When the Coronavirus pandemic hit in 2020, the federal government introduced a couple of stimulus check payments in order to assist the citizens survive the pandemic.
After the payments were distributed to the Americans on several occasions, it has been made pretty clear that no further stimulus payments would be sent. The state governments have, therefore, picked up the slack and decided to issue stimulus payments to the citizens in the states.
In the state of New Jersey, the payments would be dependent on the income of 2019, and also if the residents were renters or homeowners that year. The ANCHOR Tax Relief Program would be issuing rebates of $1,500 to the residents of the state who had owned homes in 2019- with a total income of $150,000 or less in 2023. Homeowners who would have a household income from $150,001 to $250,000 would be expecting payments of $1,000.
Stimulus Check Payments In A Few States
In the state of New Mexico, the estimated stimulus check amount for 1st Rebate is $500 for filers who are joint, head of household, or surviving spouse filers with a 2021 income of under $150,000 and $250 for single residents and married couples with a tax return in 2021. For the second rebate, the estimated amount has been set at $1,000 for the joint, head of household, and surviving spouse filers, along with a sum of $900 for single residents and married couples who would be filing separately in 2021.
If one is a resident of Pennsylvania, aged 65 years, or a widow(er) at the age of 50, or just a person with disabilities at 18 years, they would be eligible for a stimulus check payment with the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. The annual income limit is $15,000 for renters and $35,000 for homeowners.
