Is a fourth Stimulus Check in the works? For many, this seems to be a decision that the US Government would take quite some time later. But for some, the previous actions of the Government in bringing out three quick stimulus checks have made them believe that a fourth check might be doing the rounds.
Hence, it becomes quite important to understand what the fourth check might look like. It must be remembered that the Treasury and the IRS are still in the process of sending out the third stimulus check, which proves that we are still not in the process of drawing out the fourth check. And yet, what if?
The Build Back Better Plan, and the Fourth Stimulus Check
According to a report from the Washington Post, around ten different Senators from the Democratic Party have already urged President Biden to bring in more amounts of money for the next stimulus payment- if any. In a letter signed by the Senators to Biden, they declared to stand by him as he prepared his Build Back Better plan for economic recovery on a long-term basis.
The pandemic saw close to 20 million citizens in the USA losing out on employment- as the workers with the lowest wages were hit hard. Although it is still unclear as to where the economy could be heading after the vaccinations are over, there are certain options available to Congress to provide quick relief in the case of economic instability.
The American Rescue Plan which was just-passed was one of the first packages to be spent in the current year, with $1,400 checks, along with an extra $300. The Biden administration has already started thinking of the sequel to this project which has been called the Build Back Better plan. It is still left to be seen if a newer stimulus check would be a part of this project.
