It is of no surprise to anyone that stimulus check payments have had a major impact on the lives of American citizens who had been struggling with the coronavirus pandemic. Interestingly, the payments might still affect the size of one’s bank account during the new year, but there are certain facts that one should be well aware of before one jumps to any conclusions. Firstly, there are states that are still sending out payments to the people.
Goes without saying, some American citizens are still waiting for their stimulus payments, which have met with some delay. But, this doesn’t mean that the state government has forgotten about them. On the other hand, there are certain payments that are about to be issued this month.
There Could Be A Stimulus Check Payment Coming This Year
There are certain lawmakers who have been pushing for another federal stimulus check payment. As it stands, unlike the payments sent in from the government, stimulus check payments that the states send out are just available to a very limited number of residents who fortunately reside in the places that have been chosen to distribute the funds. But there is a possibility that some more relief could be coming in from DC that would be available to the entire nation. One prominent Democrat also put up an open letter where they urged their colleagues to start moving forward with an expanded CTC that could be funded by the last COVID relief bill.
The only bad news that citizens should be prepared for is that the tax refund they receive would be far smaller for this year. This is simply due to the fact that the federal government hadn’t planned on continuing the expanded CTC and certain other tax breaks which had been established by COVID relief are also seemingly coming to an end.
