It is quite well known that stimulus check payments are not applicable for all of the 50 states in the country. Quite a few states decided that they were better off without them and decided to get rid of the payments. On the other hand, there are a few states that are still issuing their payments to the population.
As it turns out, there are just a few states in the country- 20 to be exact, who have decided to keep issuing the payments even in 2022. However, it would be a mistake to assume that every single individual has already received the payment yet. Now, while quite a few of them have already received it, there are certain exceptions involved.
Stimulus Check Payments Coming In A Few States
For those wondering, the stimulus check payments might be well on the way for quite a few states who are already waiting. In California, most of the payments have already been made. Nevertheless, the missing payments could be delayed until the 14th of January, 2023. These payments will form a part of the Middle-Class Tax Refund plan.
Incidentally, another state has also delayed the payment for the late filers which is Colorado. Now, the amount that the citizens in the states would be receiving is quite different. The payment could start at a base price of $750 and go all the way up to $1,500 for those who have filed jointly.
Since some of the states also allowed for an extension on the tax filing, the stimulus check payment could arrive as late as the 31st of January, 2023. Once again, the date of one’s filing would definitely matter in the state of Hawaii as well. The amount of money that a taxpayer could earn would be up to $300.
