When it comes to stimulus check payments, it is best to not listen to what people on the internet have to say about it. According to media reports, there have been false reports circulating in the media, which has claimed that a fourth payment will hit most bank accounts on the 19th of August from the IRS. But, the rumors are just that- rumors. There won’t be a fourth stimulus payment of about $7,000 coming out on the 19th of August.
While there have been several petitions running afoot for more stimulus check payments- one that calls on the federal government to put out monthly stimulus payments worth $2,000, the federal government hasn’t been interested. Interestingly, quite a few legislators from the Democrats in Congress have pleaded their case for a fourth stimulus package, and yet Congress hasn’t made any mention to fork out more payments.
Will There Be A Fourth Stimulus Check?
Jen Psaki, the Press Secretary for the White House, stated quite a few months back that the President of the United States, Joe Biden, was open to a host of ideas- implying that he wouldn’t be completely ruling out the possibility of more economic payments to the citizens.
However, it has come to reports that a fourth stimulus check could possibly be unlikely as the country has started moving towards recovery from the pandemic. The citizens of the country previously received three different stimulus packages- one that included $1,200 in March 2020, and yet another in December- worth $600.
Currently, the POTUS has been putting in more focus on the CTC stimulus check program which was approved the current year. Although the law was passed pretty recently, the legislators in the Biden administration have expressed their interest in making the expansion of this program relatively permanent.
