There have been quite a few demands for a fourth stimulus check after the first three payments have been a boon to the American population. Several petitions have been filed which calls for another payment that should be sent out to low-income as well as medium-income households.
Currently, one of the foremost petitions has already garnered more than two million signatures which have led to quite a few politicians urging the President to consider corresponding with the IRS to roll out another payment.
However, the President has given the reins of another stimulus check proposal to Congress, as he has repeatedly stated that while he would definitely listen to ideas, he wouldn’t be spearheading it. Congress would have to come up with a plan while fixing all the nitty-gritty of it.
Hope That There Will Be A Fourth Stimulus Check In August
With July about to end, it seems pretty clear that there won’t be another stimulus check this month- regardless of the scam messages that have been circulating social media. Unsurprisingly, by the time any proposal can be drawn for another payment, this month will be over.
Therefore, most Americans are holding on to the idea of a stimulus payment in the month of August. Although Congress wouldn’t practically roll out another payment in August either, most of the families from the low-income strata are holding onto it.
Nonetheless, California is one such state where the citizens have already qualified for a fourth stimulus check. The Governor of the state, Gavin Newsom, has already signed a 100 billion dollar plan that will see the citizens of the state getting a stimulus payment worth $600. Almost 2/3rds of the citizens will be deemed eligible for this payment. As far as other states go, Congress hasn’t yet started working on legislation that would see a stimulus payment through. While there have been claims of an imminent announcement, they aren’t true.
