With the pandemic continuing, many households have been wondering if they would be receiving additional stimulus check payments. Some of the residents of Oregon could be presented with a stimulus payment of around $600 coming their way as soon as this summer. Many families and individuals have already been struggling to get ahead after they experienced massive financial ruin due to the pandemic. This is especially true for those low-income workers who were an important part of the economy- especially since they were a part of the early days of the pandemic.
Oregon Workers Could Receive $600 Stimulus Check Payment
With costs of everyday items increasing, it does feel impossible to tackle any form of existing debt or being keeping aside extra money into a savings account. For this exact reason, there are many people who believe they are stuck in financial limbo. Thankfully, some low-income workers in Oregon could be receiving extra financial help in the coming months with a stimulus check payment.
The legislators of the states have recently approved a bill that would provide a one-time $600 payment to eligible residents. These stimulus payments could definitely create a pretty big difference for most of the citizens of the state as they continue to struggle financially. Now the main question that stands out is- do you qualify for the $600 stimulus check payment?
As it stands, residents who did qualify for and claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit on their personal income tax return for 2020 will be deemed eligible. On the other side, those who have filed an amended 2020 tax return by the 15th of April will also be eligible to receive the stimulus check payments. And according to the Oregon Department of Revenue, close to an estimated 250,000 households will qualify.
