The majority of states started sending their relief payments in the first quarter of 2022. The majority of states opted to receive a single stimulus payment, while New Mexico elected to spread out its payout over four months. Maine and New Mexico were among the first states to take action.

But even though Governor Gavin Newsom picked and authorized the amount back in June 2022, other states, including California, have already planned their rewards for the holiday season.

Up to two Stimulus Checks for $400 worth of petrol were initially advised for every vehicle registered in California.

The Stimulus Checks were designed to provide relief from America’s highest fuel prices. The Golden State also recorded a historic $97.5 billion surplus in addition to passing a historic $300.6 billion state budget that contained the Middle-Class Tax Rebate Stimulus Check. The governor outlined adjustments to the budget that he had first proposed at the beginning of 2022 for the fiscal year beginning in July, claiming that no other state in American history had ever had a surplus this enormous.

The Rescue Plan provided cash to local and state governments, and businesses were allowed to go on as usual both during and immediately after the epidemic. Due to this, even though there was a total shutdown for months after the shutdown was reversed, local companies and government organizations were still able to operate normally and pay their employees.
