Tom Sizemore is struggling to escape death’s clutches as he fights for life after suffering from a brain aneurysm. The actor of Saving Private Ryan has reportedly been sent to the ICU- something the 61-year-old’s manager, Charles Lago, mentioned on Monday. Lago further commented that the actor was in a very critical condition and it could be a touch-and-go situation.
Nevertheless, the actor’s family is completely aware of the situation and has been periodically waiting for medical updates. According to a tabloid, the star of Black Hawk Down, and Saving Private Ryan was in his home in Los Angeles when he suffered a brain aneurysm on Saturday at around 2 am, and subsequently fell unconscious.
Tom Sizemore Has Been Hospitalized After Brain Aneurysm
The media reported that someone found Tom Sizemore in that situation and then called 911. While the paramedics reached the scene pretty quickly and he was taken to a local hospital within minutes, he was still listed as being in critical condition. The actor has had struggles with drug abuse in the past, along with being quite corrosive toward law enforcement in the last couple of years.
In the 2000s, Sizemore had been arrested quite a few times for drug convictions and domestic violence, and he also had to spend 17 months in prison. His most high-profile conviction came in 2003 when he had domestically abused his then-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss- after divorcing Maeve Quinlan in 1999.
Tom Sizemore was also arrested in 2019 and 2020 for a DUI, as well as possession of substances. In an interview with The Daily Mail back in 2017, the actor revealed how he had hit rock bottom with his addiction- so much that he had to squat for two years in a building that had no electricity or water.
