If you usually host large egg hunts for family, friends, and neighbors, brace for a significant increase in expenses this year. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the average price for a dozen eggs was around $4 at the end of 2024.
If we use the same pricing from Easter last year, this means that the total cost for three dozen eggs this year would be $9 more than what you would have paid in 2024.

If your family prefers the tradition of hiding treats inside plastic eggs for the hunt, Walmart offers packs of 40 plastic eggs for about $4.
The price is likely similar at other retailers. Additionally, plan to allocate around $6 to $10 for the treats to fill those eggs. If you choose this option, your total should be under $15.
