Travis Barker can’t seem to get some respite. Just two months after he was admitted to the hospital for life-threatening pancreatitis, he also tested positive for COVID-19. The drummer from Blink-182 recently announced this diagnosis on Instagram on Thursday- where he also captioned a photo of him at the tour of Machine Gun Kelly, called “Mainstream Sellout”.
Back in June, Barker had been rushed to the hospital along with his wife Kourtney Kardashian, with the rockstar later stating that he needed medical attention due to excruciating pain in his pancreas after he went through an endoscopy. In July, he had joined MGK on stage- just a month after his diagnosis. The musician of “All the Small Things” then suffered a broken thumb, but MGK went on to announce that Barker would still be performing with him- against the orders of his doctors.
Travis Barker Recently Contracted COVID-19
Kourtney Kardashian, on her part, stated that she had embraced the tour wife role. Nevertheless, it is still quite unclear about the Kardashian being in close contact with Travis Barker leading up to his diagnosis with COVID-19. A rep for the star did not return the requests for comment. Interestingly, Kourtney had already gone through the contagious virus twice. In her second bout with the disease, she went on to share tips about how she had starved her fever.
It is not clear if MGK had also contracted the virus. As it stands, the rapper/singer didn’t make any announcements as to whether he had contracted the coronavirus. There were also no plans made of postponing any of the tour dates. Interestingly, just a couple of days ago, Travis Barker uploaded a video of him fist-bumping MGK.
