One of the biggest providers of hardware cryptocurrency wallets, Trezor, is going to celebrate the 10th year of its institution through the release of 3 new self-custody products which would include a new wallet by the company, a proprietary backup key private solution, and a wallet that was only for Bitcoin.

The company, based in the Czech Republic, officially announced the launch of the Safe 3- which is a cryptocurrency wallet that would support more than 7000 cryptocurrencies. On the 12th of October, the company declared that the production of this safe would mark a new chapter in the entry-level hardware wallets that the company provides.

Trezor Has Rolled Out New Hardware For 10th Anniversary

As it turns out, the development and subsequent release of the Trezor Safe 3 comes five years after the hardware wallet firm brought out the Model T in February 2018. The retail price is $79 and the safe is available in four different colors- stellar silver, solar gold, cosmic black, and galactic rose. It is quite a testament to the integrity of the company that the new product is quite focused on maintaining the commitment that the company has towards open source development, especially while applying open source principles when using the security component.

Along with the Trezor Safe 3, the company has also rolled out its own physical private key storage solution called Trezor Keep Metal. As reported by Cointelegraph, the very safety of a seed phrase or even a private key is a lot more important than the basic safety of a hardware wallet device as users would be able to restore access to the wallet even if the hardware wallet gets damaged or lost.
