If you’re not familiar with Tripsy, it’s a comprehensive trip planner that allows users to orchestrate their entire travel itinerary all in one place. You can share your travel plans with family and friends, receive flight notifications, and create wish lists for places to explore. The app also provides weather forecasts, flight details, and offers a secure spot to store necessary travel documents.
With the release of version 3.3, the app introduces impressive new features, like Nearby Places. This functionality presents a map of your itinerary, showcasing venues sorted by proximity. Simply tap on a location or use your current GPS position to find the closest points of interest.
An eagerly anticipated addition in this update is the currency conversion feature. Previously, the app supported multiple currencies, but now it automatically converts expenditures from one currency to another. “Regardless of the number of different currencies involved in your trip, Tripsy will convert them to your selected currency using real-time conversion rates based on your travel dates.”
Furthermore, Tripsy includes custom categories, allowing you to create personalized categories with unique titles, colors, and icons to document any activity or location during your journey. These custom categories will also be visible to others when sharing your trip.
Tripsy is available for free in the App Store, with certain features requiring a subscription of $4.99 monthly or $39.99 annually. A lifetime license option is also offered. It’s important to note that the app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
