Twitterrific Team Unveils New ‘Tapestry’ iPhone App for Bluesky, Mastodon, RSS, and More

The Iconfactory, known for the discontinued Twitterrific app, has unveiled the successor to their Twitter client today. Tapestry consolidates feeds from Bluesky, Mastodon, RSS, YouTube, and others into one timeline.

Tapestry unifies social and web feeds in a new app for iPhone and iPad

Just over a year ago, we reported on The Iconfactory’s ‘Project Tapestry,’ which began as a Kickstarter initiative.

Now, the app is officially available on the App Store for both iPhone and iPad users. Its goal? “Tapestry weaves together your favorite blogs, social media, and more into a cohesive and chronological timeline.”

Below is a summary of the app’s features, as listed on the App Store:

  • Your Web, Your Way: Tapestry merges posts from your preferred social media platforms, including Bluesky and Mastodon, along with additional sources like RSS feeds, podcasts, YouTube channels, and more. All content is displayed in chronological order, free from algorithmic filtering.
  • A Comprehensive Overview: Tapestry simplifies browsing content from numerous sources, allowing users to create custom timelines, effortlessly sync reading positions across devices, and easily follow feeds through a clear, color-coded content stream.
  • Stay Spoiler-Free: Quickly set up effective rules to control what appears in your feeds. Avoid potential spoilers and steer clear of unwanted topics with the ability to mute and muffle items across your subscriptions.
  • Robust Search Functionality: Effortlessly search for topics and keywords across all feeds at once. Tapestry makes it simple to locate that specific blog post, YouTube video, or podcast you’re interested in and save it for later.
  • Privacy First: Your privacy is paramount. Tapestry operates with content stored on your device, meaning searches and viewing activities remain completely private. We never share or sell your data to outside parties.
  • Custom Connectors: Enhance Tapestry’s capabilities with third-party connectors. Import trusted custom connectors or create your own to include your favorite data sources in the timeline. If there’s an open data feed, a connector can incorporate it into Tapestry.

This app provides the expected features from the creators of Twitterrific, including customization options for the app icon, layout, fonts, light and dark modes, the ability to save items for later, and much more.

Tapestry is available as a free download on the App Store, with subscription options to eliminate ads, unlock custom timelines, mute content, and customize themes. Subscriptions are priced at $1.99/month, $19.99/year, or a one-time purchase of $79.99.
