Most of the developers will now be allowed to fork the protocol of Uniswap v3 as its Business Source License recently expired on the 1st of April- according to the protocol documentation.

This expiration was considered to be a much-anticipated event at the interiors of the decentralized finance ecosystem- which would enable developers to start deploying their own decentralized exchange, The BSL usually lasts for a very limited period before it becomes completely open. The purpose of this license is to protect the right of the authors to profit from the creations. The license was released in 2021 for a couple of years- which prevented the code from being used commercially. A new license- referred to as a General Public License- would now be applicable to this protocol.
