Valarie Bertinelli sure knows how to wear some pretty high heels! The 59-year-old actress and cookbook author sold her Stuart Weitzman wedding shoes on Instagram this week for $800,000 — then donated all the money to charity. “I’m selling my #stuartweitzman wedding shoes!

They’re brand new, never worn since they’re too small for me,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “If you’d like to buy them, DM me! Let’s talk about it.” Valerie Bertinelli, who previously starred in the TV series “One Day at a Time” and currently stars in “Hot in Cleveland” has listed her wedding shoes for sale on eBay.

She is auctioning off the shoes for $100,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The beautiful silk-satin shoes were purchased from Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City, where Bertinelli also got her wedding dress. They are size 7½ and she says they are very comfortable but not her usual size of 6½ or 7 (she wears an 8).

The “One Day at a Time” star, 59, shared a photo of herself in the shoes — which are Stuart Weitzman size 7.5 — next to the couple’s framed wedding certificate on Instagram.

Auctioning off your wedding shoes? How about this for an idea: You wear them on your big day and then auction them off after!

If you’re not into that idea, though, maybe Valerie Bertinelli can help change your mind with her recent decision to sell off some of her own wedding memorabilia in order to raise money for Alzheimer’s research (via People).

On Saturday night, June 8th 2019, Valerie Bertinelli shared a photo of herself wearing said shoes along with the caption: “10 years ago today Tom and I got married! To celebrate our anniversary we are auctioning off these beautiful @stuartweitzmans outfitted by @jenniferlopez_style and worn by yours truly at our “I Do”.” Bertinelli was married to Tom Vitale in 2011 and they share two children together.

Michaela Anne and Landon Asher. She has also been married twice before: first in 1986 when she married actor/director Patrick Duffy; then again in 1990 when she tied the knot with Tony Danza who played her character Danny Tanner on Full House.
