visionOS 2.4 Expands Language Support with Two New Additions

On Monday, Apple introduced the second beta of visionOS 2.4 for developers. While this update primarily aims to enhance Apple Intelligence within the Vision Pro, it also hints that the headset may soon be available in additional countries. This is evident as visionOS 2.4 introduces support for two new languages.

visionOS 2.4 Expands Language Support to Spanish and Italian

According to DMN, users with the latest beta of visionOS 2.4 can now change the language setting of their Vision Pro to Spanish and Italian. Presently, the operating system for Apple Vision Pro offers support in the following languages:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional – Hong Kong)
  • English (Australia)
  • English (UK)
  • English (US)
  • French
  • French (Canada)
  • Deutsch (German)
  • Japanese
  • Korean

Similarly to the HomePod, Apple typically activates support for a new language in visionOS when it plans to launch the Vision Pro in more regions. This likely means that the Apple Vision Pro will soon be introduced to Spain and Italy. While there are numerous Spanish-speaking countries, the visionOS code suggests that it has been tailored for the European variant of Spanish.

Apple has indicated that both iOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4 will be publicly released in April, making it reasonable to anticipate the Vision Pro’s arrival in these countries around the same time.

The Apple Vision Pro initially debuted in the US, followed by launches in China, Japan, and Singapore. In July 2024, the headset expanded to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK. It later became available in South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Taiwan at the end of last year.

In the United States, the starting price for the Apple Vision Pro is $3,499 for the 256GB model, with options for 512GB and 1TB of storage available as well.
