WatchOS 11.3 Beta 3 Released for Developers

Apple has introduced a new beta 3 update. This comes just hours after the launch of beta 3 for tvOS and HomePod, with watchOS 11.3 now receiving its own beta 3 update as well.

New beta moves software updates closer to release

Apple’s current beta release period has been relatively quiet.

Currently, watchOS 11.3 does not feature any known exclusive capabilities.

More generally, Apple’s platforms are getting new support for robot vacuums in the Home app for compatible devices, a fix for the Calculator app, and Genmoji for the Mac.

Aside from that, not much else has been noted in terms of significant changes at this stage.

Last year, Apple’s x.3 versions also had few new features, leading to a surprisingly quick conclusion of the beta cycle.

We might see a similar scenario play out this time around.

Last winter, Apple released three betas before the RC (release candidate) versions, making it likely that history may repeat itself.

If this brief beta cycle occurs, we could expect these updates to be publicly launched in the next few weeks, likely before the end of January.

However, Apple must first roll out beta 3 for its flagship iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms, which remain notably absent for now.

Have you tried out beta 3 of watchOS 11.3? Noticed any changes? Share your thoughts in the comments.
