Social Security benefits will start to be paid out to residents of Indiana, Chicago, New Mexico, and Maine this week. A brand-new Indiana legislation mandates that any budget overages be made up for by offering residents a tax credit.
As a result, joint filers will receive a $250 stimulus payout, as opposed to just $150 for single taxpayers. The entire batch of stimulus checks will be distributed by Indiana by the end of September.
According to Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, the checks were sent to more than 3,500 Chicago families, and those who were eligible for them began receiving payouts at the beginning of this week.

In Maine, Stimulus Checks totaling 850 dollars have been given to eligible individuals, and double that amount has been given to families. According to the governor’s office, filers will get their compensation by mid-July.
