Possibilities are ringing of a relief fund against inflation to be issued for the Michigan residents. The increasing rates of United States inflation, stimulus check, or relief payment are being decided upon to be sent to the residents of selected states. Although most of the states are already on the go, some states are still going through the proposal period. Since Michigan has anticipated surplus unspent billions, Gretchen Whitmer, Governor, has proposed to send a relief fund of $180 to reduce the costs at Michigan. 

Who Can Apply For This Stimulus Check?

Taking the Governor’s suggestion under consideration, the stimulus check can be applied by any resident belonging to the state provided they have filed their previous year’s tax return.

Since the plan has not been concretized, the plan is still open to various changes and additions. However, couples who have been filing their taxes jointly should expect to receive one stimulus check and not two. There has not been clear information on the dependents and their number and also on how they will relate to the funds.

How Soon Can You Expect The Stimulus Check?

Since the legislation has not been official yet, an exact date has not been finalized regarding the relief check. However, anticipation from the experts has been coming that spring might be the first to welcome the first set of stimulus checks. More details are awaited which the Governor might release in the following week. 

When Is The Tax Filing Deadline?

Keeping in mind the sole criteria for receiving the stimulus check is to file your tax, suggestions are to complete the procedure at the earliest. The tax season began on the 23rd of January and will close its doors on the 18th of April which still leaves the residents with two months to complete the paperwork.
