Even though the industry has a great potential, the women in the industry are facing many challenges in the workspace of web3. The lack of diversity of the industry being one reason, another is the gender bias they face while arranging funds. There are many significant obstacles that women face in the space which make it tough for them to thrive in this potential industry.
Cointelegraph interviewed a lot of women to understand the challenges of the web3 industry, and here is what they get. Martens, a chief engineer of blockchains in the Sweet NFTs, spoke about her observation. Here, Devon Martens said that the crypto industry is vastly dominated by males. She thinks that the lack of representation might be a huge block for women.

Devon said how she sees women in the suits in the latest web3 companies but this sight is very rare which stays a troublesome fact for her.
Sandy Carter, another Chief in operations and the chief of the development in business sector at the firm called Unstoppable Domains spoke about women sharing about only 12.7 percent of the whole web3 workforce. Thus she tends to highlight the greater diversity in the industry.
Sandy Carter shared a story about her joining the community. She said that when she announced she will be working with the Unstoppable Domain, she included some link with the announcement which was for applying for another vacant position in the company. Carter said that only 3% out of all the applicants were women.
