ZachXBT, a blockchain investigator, recently received over $1 million in donations from the cryptocurrency community in just 24 hours that would allow him to pay his legal fees in a defamation lawsuit against him. The investigator, who is pretty famous for his investigative work in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, recently got embroiled in a legal dispute with Jeffrey Huang, who is better known as MachiBigBrother on Twitter.

On the 16th of June, Huang tweeted that he had already filed a defamation lawsuit against the company, wherein they accused him of damaging his reputation through false allegations. Although Huang hadn’t specifically mentioned those allegations, an article was published in June 2022 by the investigator titled- 22000 ETH Embezzled and Over Ten Projects Failed- The Story Of Machi Big Brother.

ZachXBT Receives Donation of $1 Million To Fight A Lawsuit

In the article, ZachXBT had gone on to accuse Huang of launching around 10 failed pump-and-dump tokens and NFT projects. As a response to the lawsuit in a series of tweets on the 17th of June, the investigator also called the lawsuit completely baseless, as well as an attempt to curb free speech. He then went on to set up a donation wallet address for his followers to assist him with the legal fees, which he considers could go above $1 million.

ZachXBT also added that the lawsuit was absolutely sickening, but he knew one day that it would happen, as that was apparently the price of honesty. He tweeted that the price of bringing out the truth for everyone to see was that sometimes people would dislike what some had to say. Needless to say, there were several crypto executives who ended up donating to the investigator and also praised him for his work in the Web3 and Crypto industry.
