Ziwe has her ways to keep things crystal clear. She is known for her savage replies and for saying exactly what’s in her mind. Ziwe is never afraid to speak her mind.
Ziwe Welcoming New Guests
Ziwe season 2 is renewed with new guests Blake Griffin, Wayne Brady, Michael Che, Joel Kim Booster, Amber Riley, Drew Barrymore, Bob the Drag Queen, and DeRay Mckesson. In the trailer, it can be seen that Ziwe is asking Drew Barrymore, about where he is standing on the emancipation proclamation. Drew obviously seemed confused and answered with much hesitation she was for freedom only. The scene ended abruptly with Ziwe’s note ‘you tell me drew’.
The trailer resume with her proud note ‘let the pageantry begin’, and even she is ready to go to the ‘diversity war’. Her sarcastic comment to Riley if the supreme court or the cast of Glee is more diverse.
Ziwe has always been truthful about her experience regarding facing racism while in school and in other places, different aspects of her life. How ‘white’ people have asked her if she is baiting them, which was definitely not true from her side. She found those questions very ‘problematic’ and the only way to answer them was in a ‘problematic’ way.
The purpose of her show is to only answer those people who have put her through some difficult times for being black. Back in her school days, she faced racism and wasn’t aware of the vocabulary that could have protected her from the bullies. Those were absolute nightmares for her and to this day it makes her sick to the stomach. Those bullies shaped her perspectives. She even asked Fox, the Italian American actress, if she considers herself a person of color. And the scene was cut.
