In a recent interview, Matthew McConaughey disclosed that there is an “initiation process” in Hollywood and described what it’s like to go through it. The actor has starred in some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters over his stellar 30-year career. The 54-year-old has an extremely strong CV that includes roles in both True Detective and Interstellar. In a recent interview, McConaughey also discussed his career to date with a Magazine.

Matthew McConaughey talked about the “ups and downs” in his career. Like everyone else, I’ve had highs and lows. There have been periods when my star meter has been higher and lower. “I’ve been arrested for playing the bongos naked, and I’ve won Oscars,” he declared. 

Matthew McConaughey Believes That Initiation Is A Process

“Overall, I believe there’s been inherent goodwill for me, but it did not keep me from figuring out my initiation into the industry.” The actress, who starred with Sandra Bullock in the 1996 movie A Time to Kill, talked about the ‘initiation process’ that seems to exist in Hollywood.

“Because initiation is a process. It simply is. He stated, “You may obtain advice, but you have to sort through the BS and separate the wheat from the chaff along the way. Naturally, Matthew McConaughey admits that those who are already in the business will give prospective actors “tips.” Still, he believes that self-education is the finest thing that aspiring performers can do.
